How long does it take to create a 3D Model?
The processing time for creating a 3D model from a video is approximately 30 minutes. Once the model is ready, the doctor is notified directly within the Clinic Platform, and the 3D model is available to be used for the consultation immediately.
What devices are compatible for recording?
All devices capable of recording decent-quality video are compatible, including both iPhone and Android smartphones and tablets. As long as the device can produce clear video footage, it can be used to create the 3D model for Clinic Platform.
How does this add-on differ from the Force HT scanning app?
Both the Patient Videos add-on and the Force HT scanning app are viable options for creating 3D models. The app is often used for on-premise consultations, where doctors scan patients in person. The add-on, however, makes it easier for patients to get online consultations by allowing them to send video footage from any device. Many clinics use the app for in-clinic consultations and the add-on for remote consultations.
How accurate is the 3D model?
The quality of the 3D model depends on the video and lighting, but when the video is recorded following our simple instructions, the model should be of high quality. Inside Clinic Platform, the doctor is prompted to enter the patient’s eye distance in centimeters, which is used to calculate the total head area and the donor and recipient segments. Once the doctor estimates the needed density, the system can then calculate the approximate number of grafts required.
How much does the add-on cost?
The Patient Videos add-on costs an additional 99€ per month, which is added to the base cost of Clinic Platform.
Is there any special training needed to use this feature?
No special training is required. Clinic Platform is user-friendly, and we provide onboarding and support to ensure all clinic staff are fully prepared.
